This was a fun week for fashion – we enjoyed it by taking newest “Chick-lette” Layla to her very first fashion show – The Art Of Style event hosted by BC Business and Wear Else at the Century Plaza Hotel. At 5 weeks old, Layla was a rockstar and fashionista-in-training: social with the other guests yet attentive as the fashions hit the stage. The event boasted lovely food, lovely wine, a lovely show and extra lovely pics for you!
Allison, Show Manager, One of a Kind Show - Vancouver; Jospeh, Account Manager, BC Business - Vancouver: While Joseph kept it sleek with a well-fitted, stylish suit and great shoes, Allison was playfully chic in her choices. We're definitely loving the carefree style she put together with pageboy shorts over tights and knee boots, paried with a sheer, loose striped tee and adorable knitted cap. Nicely done!
Julie, a 'Haute Mama' - Vancouver: Julie was too cute not to snag a photo of, starting with her perfectly messy longer pixie cut; with just the right shade of blonde, this choppy 'do gave the overall look a bit of attitude, while her outfit was ultra polished. A longer sheer tunic over dark skinnies is a classic way to "dress but not overdress", especially when you throw in fabulous shoes with bold hardware. Julie's red bag added a punch of colour and her black-rimmed glasses finished off the look.
Tracey, Real Estate Sales & Marketing - Vancouver; Rebecca, Host of the Art Of Style event - Vancouver: These two fabulous dresses were hand picked for Tracey and Rebecca by Zahra of Wear Else - and these ladies totally rocked them! Tracey showed off her figure in a form fitting black dress with added interest in the neck and cuff embellishments; Rebecca looked stunning as she hit the stage in this sensational cobalt blue sheath dress complete with pockets *love*.
Dasha, Auru Photography - Vancouver: Dasha looked casually striking. She combined a crisp black & white striped blouse that had a fabulous collar ruffle with a simple black fitted blazer and black skinny denim. Taupe pumps and bold bangs added a bit of edge and cut out any overly matchy-matchy-ness. A fun, fashion-forward look that was perfect for the event.
Carey - Vancouver; Zahra, Owner, Wear Else - Vancouver: After meeting Zahra, it's no wonder there has been a lot more buzz about Wear Else over the last few years; Zahra is a true fashionista and looked incredible for the event - the gorgeous black & gold skirt she showed off was also spotted on the event's runway, but we secretly think Zahra pulled it off even better than the model! She let the skirt take the forefront by pairing it with a fitted black top and black tights. Lovely. Carey looked professionally chic with slim denim, a white button-up and a boyfriend-fit blazer; her look exuded effortless style.
